My name is Samantha McLean (or Sammy), and I am a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner, practicing at Tapestry Integrative Health in Nanaimo, BC.

Last year I graduated with summa cum laude honours from the Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine program at Pacific Rim College, where I completed over 2700 hours of training in acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition, and bio-medicine, along with over 1050 hours of clinical practice.

I have a passion for women’s health, particularly in addressing menstrual cycle related issues, hormone imbalances, and supporting women through menopause. I believe in the power of TCM to restore balance and support the body’s natural rhythms. Beyond women’s health, I also have a special interest in treating digestive health, stress, and anxiety, as well as providing general care to those seeking holistic treatments.

Well after 14 months of online school I’m finally back on campus this summer taking my Techniques & Therapeutics course! This course is all about learning & practicing a variety of acupuncture techniques to develop practical skills and gain experience - aka the course where everything starts to feel very real!

It feels so good to be back in person surrounded by my lovely teachers and classmates again, and I’m incredibly excited to finally be needling and diving deeper into this beautiful medicine! 💛
